We first met Maggie and Jeff when we had the good fortune to buy their stunning cottage, Southview, from them in 2012. They showed us around the property themselves and apart from loving the cottage we instantly found a connection and became very fond of them. We visited them several more times before they moved out of Southview and these visits cemented our friendship. They could not have done more to help us settle in and having friends in the area, we were delighted that they continued to visit us after they moved to Byfield (I think Jeff was also checking we were looking after his garden). It was obvious from our many conversations that their family were literally everything to them, hence their move to be more accessible to their children and grandchildren. A truly lovely couple that once met, made a lasting impression. We were extremely fond of them both and feel absolutely devastated to hear the sad news that Maggie had passed away and also to hear of Jeff's current health battle too. We are thinking of you all and hope that Tuesday will be the celebration of the life of a wonderful, caring Wife, Mother and Grandmother that she was and that her legacy will be that her care of her family and others will continue through you all.
