It occurred to me today that I am procrastinating more and more since being without Mum. Caroline and I have been discussing lots of 'life decisions' this week; car, house, schools for the boys, possible alternative job options for myself and her. I never really thought Mum had much influence over my decisions, but every time we discuss these things I can't help but hear mum's voice saying 'just get on and do it love!' Based on this I'm going to 'just get on and do it' for a couple of things this week. Some trivial but important things like eye tests and glasses as a start, but also replacing our nearly 13 year old estate car that's definitely past its best ;-) Who knows, maybe later this year I'll find the time for the bigger challenges of moving job or even house, but I need to not waste the gift of time that we all enjoy.
